2021 Cabernet Franc, Napa Valley

This Cabernet Franc, grown on Tenma vineyard, provides deep color and mid-palate drive to this elegant estate blend. A portion of the Cabernet Franc is sourced from Mitsuko’s vineyard in Carneros. This estate vineyard, located south of Highway 121 in the cooler part of Napa Carneros, has proved to have an abundance of ideal sites for Cabernet Franc.

Dark opaque scarlet in the glass with rich aromas of bourbon cherry, nutmeg, wet tobacco and plum. This is an elegantly rich, full-bodied wine with grippy, yet moderate tannins. Flavors on the palate showcase dark cherry, fresh red fruits, licorice & ripe prunes. The tannins become more prominent with time to breath in the glass making this a great wine for lamb burgers, onion jam with prosciutto and roasted red pepper dishes.
